In 2017, my (now ex) partner and I sold 95% of our possessions, converted a Mercedes Sprinter LWB hi-top into a campervan, and began travelling Europe as digital nomads. The next winter we lived on a beach on the south coast of Crete for five months while our relationship slowly disintegrated. The Slow-Time Traveller poems are born from this, even though it was another five years and many attempts to save the relationship before we finally split.
