Many thanks for taking time to find out more about subscribing to support my work. As a writer who has chosen to also be an independent publisher of these digital books, I rely on people like yourself who might be able to support me on an ongoing basis.
Below you’ll find options from £2 upwards a month (in the drop-down menu below) with each and every pound being gratefully received as this is what allows me to continue writing and publishing my own work, as well as avoiding having to use organisations such as Amazon Direct Publishing who I am boycotting because I vehemently oppose Amazon’s unionbusting activities as well as their treatment of staff.
These things do make publishing more challenging though, which is why my goal is to emulate Kevin Kelly’s model of garnering 1000 True Fans. There’s a really interesting article on that in the New Yorker here. It explores the idea that for an artist to be able to thrive in this current climate all they need is 1000 True Fans who support the creative individual through processes such as regular subscriptions (like this!).
